Petite

Top: Zara (Similar-ish here and here)
Pants: ASOS
Necklace: Limited Edition
Pearl earrings: Old (Similar here)
Ring: Charlotte(Similar-ish here)
Bag: Prada (Similar here) | Shoes: Old (Similar here)
I mentioned to my colleague that I had ordered a pair of white pants online and she expressed some concern. Since cut and fit is very important, but you can't try online purchases, it's a risky venture.

Well, 'risk' isn't my middle name for nothing (it's not my name at all actually). I suppose I felt confident in my choice because I ordered it from the ASOS Petite collection. For shorties like me, petite collections save me the alteration expenses that I would have to incur for normal people sized clothing purchases.

Thankfully, many labels, like Dorothy Perkins, Top Shop, and New Look, to name a few, are offering petite collections so my choices have increased and my savings have decreased. DAMN YOU FOR BEING SO CUSTOMER-CENTRIC!

Thanks for reading, go out there and take some risks today!

Some kind of hate

Dress: Asos
Bag: Y-3 (Similar here)
Necklace: Twentyeight Lane (Similar here)
Shoes: Vincci (Similar here)
That was a bit of a misleading subject header because the truth is, I some kind of love my shoes. Aren't they just RAD?? But the reason for the title is because my baby cousin Moo, who is actually not a baby but a fully grown married adult, is currently plugging her newly produced movie "Some Kind of Hate" on the movie screening circuit. I wanted to give her a shout out and also check if she's keeping up with my blog. I'm sneaky like that.

But yes, my moozy is a Hollywood producer y'all. And I'm just sitting here blogging. :)

Thanks for reading, and please go check out her movie because she worked very hard to bring it to fruition.

Black Monday

Dress: Smooch the Label
Belt: Calvin Klein (Similar here)
Ring: Dorothy Perkins (Similar here) | Bracelet: Quintessential (Similar-ish here)
Bag: Hong Kong (Similar here)
Shoes: Karen Millen (Similar-ish here)
I was dragging my feet this morning as I went to work but the day got infinitely better when my two closest girl friends and I had a spur of the moment lunch in Orchard Road. This meant that I got to eat my favourite Tori Q and look at pretty things. I also got to be bossy and force them to try on and buy things.

Thanks for reading, I hope you had as wonderful a Monday as I did. But if you didn't I would like to recommend you hit up Charles and Keith and Lovisa. And by recommend, I mean, DO IT NOW.

Hey hey you you, I could be your boyfriend (shirt)

Shirt: ASOS | Jeans: 7 for All Mankind (Similar here and here) | Sneakers: Converse
Trying to perfect the art of coolly leaning around on things
Leaning was too tough so I switched to the hands in pockets pose
Sunglasses: Brandless (Similar here) | Ring/weapon: Gift (Similar here) | Cuff bracelet: Gift (Similar here)
Whenever I think of boyfriend shirts, I imagine those shows where some woman stayed the night at some guy's house (Warning: racy material ahead, do not continue reading if you are below 18) and she would ultimately co-opt the guy's shirt presumably because her clothes from last night were ripped to shreds from the hot and passionate round of umm... scrabble they played. Said woman would be wandering around the house sans pants, and usually with some coy look on her face. (I would be annoyed if I was the dude, shirts are not easy to iron - she could have just taken a big t-shirt instead dammit).

Anyway, here's my take on the look, thankfully with pants, sans coy look. My sleeping habits are much less exciting although I do occasionally talk in my sleep.

Thanks for reading, happy Friday all you pants-less wanderers, I hope you win at Scrabble.

Sole for a soul

Dress: Nichii
See the store Gripz behind me? I wish they had just spelt it 'Grips'. Not a fan of using Z to replace S
Earrings: Twentyeight Lane | Bag: Gift (Similar here and here)
Ring: Lovisa (Similar here) | Bracelet: Thrifted (Similar here)
Shoes: Pedro (Similar here)
I love shoes. To the point where I might consider selling the soul of my firstborn for an awesome pair of Manolos. Sorry kid.

When I was younger, my style ethos for shoe buying was "borders on kind of ugly but isn't". I love memorable statement shoes, bells and whistles and all, so I typically don't go for the neutral look. However, in a corporate environment, it's important not know when to make a statement and when not to so today's shoe choice is brought to you by the letter 'Z' as in 'Zzzzz' but you know what? I still dig them, I think they're groovy in the plain chic way, ammirite?

Anyway, if you're looking for a pair of statement shoes that are still work appropriate, I recommend Sophia Webster. Her stuff is wearable, comfortable, affordable and unique. Buy them now!
