Holy cowbells. We've nearly reached Chinese New Year. I'm definitely not ready to consume all that bak kwa... No wait, that's a lie. Lim Chee Guan please OMNOMNOM.

Customarily, we wear bright colours like red or orange or pink because it's auspicious. Thankfully I'm over my emo-goth days, I remember one year, I wore leather-look jeans (wah so cool hor??) and an ombre shimmery purple top and my mother looked at me and exclaimed, 'you're wearing that??' so obviously it totally set my mind to wearing it and all the extended relatives were all, 'ohhh Alex so grown up, wah like rocker'... Although this might really all be in my head. It's hard to tell. Anyway, I might bust out this bright fuchsia pink skirt again because my goodness it is festive and bright. I no longer feel like torturing my mother with my sartorial choices - this is because I am legit mature. Now bring me that bak kwa.

Thanks for reading, and, no, I will not share my bak kwa so don't bother asking.

Looking a little funereal today because I had a full day of presentations and I wanted to come across as a serious business person. This probably didn't really work all that well since most of the people involved in the meetings already know me. There was a time when I was predominantly wearing black but that really feels like ages ago. I think I really wanted to be seen as some emo goth chick with an attitude problem. Anyway, A for effort but zzz because I miss crazy loud patterns and colours. You can only imagine how I'm going to bounce back. Total colour spaz out expected. Get ready to be blinded.

Keeping it short today because those meetings pretty much drained the life out of me. But thanks for reading, hope you're not feeling like an emo goth.Cheer up, tomorrow's Friday!

According to Wikipedia, "Snakes are elongated, legless, carnivorous reptiles of the suborder Serpentes that can be distinguished from legless lizards by their lack of eyelids and external ears". All of that sounds pretty damn gross but personally, I'm a fan of snakes, unless they're crawling up my toilet waiting to bite me in the nethers or waiting behind a bush to poison my face off.

Snakeskin feels so smooth and snakes move with such unexpected speed and grace. Plus, they are totally badass villain symbols.  He-who-must-not-be-named knows what I'm talking 'bout.
Hey girl, wanna pet my snake? ;) | Pic courtesy of Wikia
And don't forget the sizzlesizzlesteam factor that dancing with a snake can bring.

Just like Britney right? I even have backup dancers.
I think my company frowns upon employees bringing live (or dead) animals to the office so I opted for a snakeskin print outfit instead. These are the sacrifices of the modern office lady.

Thanks for reading, sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.
