Petite

Top: Zara (Similar-ish here and here)
Pants: ASOS
Necklace: Limited Edition
Pearl earrings: Old (Similar here)
Ring: Charlotte(Similar-ish here)
Bag: Prada (Similar here) | Shoes: Old (Similar here)
I mentioned to my colleague that I had ordered a pair of white pants online and she expressed some concern. Since cut and fit is very important, but you can't try online purchases, it's a risky venture.

Well, 'risk' isn't my middle name for nothing (it's not my name at all actually). I suppose I felt confident in my choice because I ordered it from the ASOS Petite collection. For shorties like me, petite collections save me the alteration expenses that I would have to incur for normal people sized clothing purchases.

Thankfully, many labels, like Dorothy Perkins, Top Shop, and New Look, to name a few, are offering petite collections so my choices have increased and my savings have decreased. DAMN YOU FOR BEING SO CUSTOMER-CENTRIC!

Thanks for reading, go out there and take some risks today!

Green corridors

Dress: Smooch the Label
This was taken just before the storm so it was windy and wonderful
Shoes: ASOS | Bag: Balenciaga
Necklace: Limited Edition | Earrings: Chinatown (Similar here)
Ring: Tsumori Chisato (Similar here and here) I love this ring!!
The Singapore government puts a lot of money into the development and maintenance of parks, gardens, and nature reserves because of the great benefits to health and wellness. While I can't say I've ever been a huge plant fan (plants = bugs = bites = itchy = HULKSMASH!), but I'm all for the supposed peace and serenity it will bring, especially when I'm raging about the office.

However, since I pretty much manage to kill all plants under my care (even a cactus), instead of purchasing a potted from Ikea that will eventually just be potted soil, I wear it delightfully on my body. This way, since I've no window by my desk, I can just look down and zone out. That's how it works right?

Thanks for reading, but seriously, take some breaks and stare at some trees. Ohhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm.

G(u)ilt

Like a tourist posing in front of shiny metal balls
Silk shirt: Uniqlo | Skirt: ASOS
Earrings: Chinatown | Necklace: ASOS | Ring: Some shop in Boston
Shoes: Charles & Keith (Snakeskin print! Squeaaaal!)
Bag: Prada (In the course of taking the last photo, I misplaced my ring. D'oh!)
The common refrain by my colleagues today was 'you look so bling bling', which I will take as a compliment for my gilt laden look. I love me some shiny so I couldn't resist getting this embossed snakeskin print leather skirt (plus I adore snakeskin print because I am a Real Housewife of River Valley - make it a deep V plunge caftan and I will probably squeal). Of course, guilt set in shortly after (oh I love me some puns!) since I realised I might not be able to wear it all that often because:
  1. It must be dry-cleaned, a process which is expensive and it's hard to find a good cleaner that does leather
  2. It is leather so it can be hot and this leads to S.L.S. (Sticky Legs Syndrome)
  3. It is shiny and thus might not be very suitable for many occasions
However, I can confirm that it is super suitable for a Monday because what better way to start off the week than to make people unwittingly stare at your butt/crotch/thighs! Sometimes you just need a little thrill.

Thanks for reading and for staring at my butt/crotch/thighs! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
