2014 is drawing to a close which means I'm basically denying that I'm getting a year older by getting a wee bit tipsy and raining down fury on all who dare mention my age. It also means that I do a little bit of quiet reflection and give thanks for all the great shizz in my life.

So my Christmas loot was pretty awesome this year - I got quite a few accessories, such as chunky rings and statement earrings (like the ones pictured above), among other things. It's really awesome to have friends who just get my style and help me grow my costume jewellery collection. As my TF4L (True Friend for Life) said, 'I saw some really crazy jewellery, the kind I don't think I like, so I figured you'd love them.' I love it when my friends just get it, you know?

So a big shout out to the awesome people who gave me awesome gifts, to those who gave me not so awesome gifts, and to those who didn't give me any gifts, because truth be told, your presence in my life is gift enough.

Thanks for reading! Merry Christmas and a happiest hippiest hoppiest New Year to you and all your loved ones!

When Marc Jacobs pioneered pyjamas as going-out clothes, and Rihanna (and various others) started redefining the idea of 'just got out of bed', I think I might have done an eye roll or two. However, as I slouched around today in my drawstring pants and loose tank top set, I couldn't help but feel somewhat pyjama-adjacent.... And it was awesome. Not only was I mad comfortable, but I also felt super cool. Something about the slouchy vibe and matching co-ords made me feel like, hey, maybe Rihanna and Marc (first name basis yo) were right.

I'm still far from wearing my silk PJ set out (who am I kidding, I don't own silk PJs, my sleepwear is absolute rubbish) and trust me, I still think it's kind of batsh*t crazy but it is so nice to just be comfortable and not have to think about sucking in your gut all day long.

Thanks for reading, slumber party???

As a way to kickstart the whole fashion blogging thing, I had to do the following:
  1. Shop a lot (no change from normal)
  2. Wear my clothes (also no change since I am not a nudist)
  3. Practice selfie-taking (I am sure you don't believe me but I was never really in the habit of taking photos)
  4. Constantly ask people 'how's my hair?' before then asking them to help me take 1000000000 photos.
  5. Post all these photos on Instagram as a prelude to this blog (who knew being so self-absorbed took practice?)
Thanks for checking me out. Please come again.
